SiriusPoint’s Head of Life Pricing, Chris Reynolds, has been appointed Chair of the Continuous Mortality Investigation (CMI) Assurances Committee for the next four years.
The CMI produces impartial analysis, and standard tables and models of mortality and morbidity for long-term insurance products and pension scheme liabilities. In his new role, Chris will oversee the CMI’s analysis of mortality and critical illness claims experience under term and whole life assurances.
Commenting on his appointment, Chris said, “I look forward to leading members of the Committee as we continue to identify emerging issues affecting the Assurances investigation and produce outputs for the benefit of the CMI subscribers and the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. My role as Chair will give me an opportunity to influence and contribute to the work of the CMI at a policy level and build on the excellent work already underway. The output from the CMI is valued and respected worldwide, and I look forward to tackling many of the hot topics and emerging issues in the years ahead.”
