Marty Malinow, CEO of Parameter Climate, a SiriusPoint partner, believes the (re)insurance industry needs to understand the difference between weather risk and climate risk if it is to effectively support the world in managing the impact of climate change.
Speaking to Bermuda:Re+ILS earlier this month, entrepreneur Marty, whose career began in the capital markets as a fixed-income derivatives trader, talks about his career and what makes Parameter Climate different: “We provide the analytics, modelling, products, programmes and services so that people can turn that uncertainty into a risk. This allows the insured and the insurer to work on mitigation in a manner where they can become more responsible in the management of their assets as it relates to global climate.”
